Maryland Hutch Book

Welcome to the Maryland Hutch Book compiled and maintained by me, Justin Snider. This website serves as a catalog of all known Hutchinson style bottles from the state of Maryland. There are over 100 different known examples and counting, so please keep sending in new entries, photos, and any information that you think could help improve this database! This site is brand new so please bear with me as I continue to add features and information while also fleshing out the bugs.

Catalog

This is the real meat and potatoes of this website. This is the catalog of the 100+ Maryland hutch bottles including detailed descriptions and photos. It is constantly being updated as I get new information. There is a digital Maryland Hutch Book file which can be downloaded HERE (pdf). This file may be updated less frequently than the website.

Credits

I want to give a special thanks to Ron Fowler who organized the original Hutchbook website. Although the website is not longer up, his website has inspired me to continue the project for my home state of Maryland. Additionally, I want to thank Tom Robusto of the Baltimore Antique Bottle Club for his extensive knowledge on Maryland hutches and for letting me visit his impressive collection. I also want to give thanks to Micah Dolina, Henry Waskey, Peter Mehalco, Myron Schmidt Joe, Donald Strittmatter, and John Hampton for their contributions to this project. This wouldn’t be possible without the help of the local bottle collecting community.
